Celebrating The Successful Inaugural Trick Or Trot! Costume-clad Propel supporters came out in droves on Halloween morning in support of Propel Partners in Wellness! Some ran, some walked, some danced, and some volunteered but everyone enjoyed the music, refreshments, sponsor booths, and sense of community. The afterschool field brought creativity, resilience, innovation, and dedication to this year's Lights On Afterschool. Nearly 700 Propel scholars joined children across the nation in a celebration of afterschool programs with light-up glasses, decorative luminaires, Halloween-themed snacks, and a variety of activities! Now in its 22nd year, Lights On Afterschool is the only national rally for afterschool programs. Throughout October and leading up to October 28, when the official Lights On Afterschool rally took place, people across the country joined in virtually and in-person afterschool program events focused on academics, science and technology, arts and music, sports and fitness, community service, and more. This annual event sends the message that demand for afterschool programs is high and the pandemic has increased the need. |
