Join us for an evening of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and entertainment as we recognize these passionate and dedicated young individuals that have been awarded a Propel Schools Foundation Scholarship to pursue post-secondary education and vocational opportunities.
Since 2008, the Propel Schools Foundation, in partnership with Power of Propel Gala Sponsors, and generous supporters, has awarded over $650K in Power of Propel scholarships to 96 deserving high school scholars pursuing post-secondary education and vocational opportunities. This year's Gala will fund 10 scholarships and provide support for our Career Pathways Program. Propel Schools’ Career Pathways Program seeks to provide our scholars with academic and vocational training and support. This program offers various career pathways where scholars can graduate with 12-31 college credits.
As a public charter school, Propel has the opportunity to educate scholars with a wide range of abilities, experiences and challenges. Educating our scholars is about more than just the material, but also about preparing them for tomorrow, whether that's a vocational school, a university, or any other form of continuing education. However, every scholar's story is different and for some, these options can be out of reach.
By providing sufficient scholarship assistance, we can enable greater success in higher education and provide backing for deserving scholars who want to further their education and give back to their community. Scholarships can give someone easier access to more colleges and the very best education.
Gifts and Sponsorships from the Power of Propel Gala funds ten scholarships to seniors pursuing post-secondary educational and vocational opportunities. This one year scholarship provides $2,500 for needs such as tuition, books, technology, or tools related to a trade apprenticeship program.
Thomas, Constance, & Cate Murray have graciously chosen to fund a generous four-year scholarship for one very lucky Propel senior scholar.
A generous gift from Tasso Katselas funds the awarding of this scholarship to two Propel eighth graders. A total of $16,500 will be received by each recipient during their high school and college years.
